As far as TDay in FL - I think we have to work out the logistics. I'd like to know the following: Who will go For how long where will we stay where will we have TDay dinner
I'm not sure if Al was planning on having a house full - maybe he thought you and Dad were going to come and that would be it - and that is OK w/me... We certainly can come down there if that is your wish to have everyone there - we just need to work that out and make sure Al knows that is the plan (he does now! :-)
Dad, Kris and I will leave Oct. 24 or 25th and stay with Jim and Pam till after the Christening. Depending on your house status and if you want, we could come and visit with you for a week. Then we would go back to Jim and Pam's so that Kris could have some time with the baby. Kris wants to go back after about 2 weeks. Dad and I will stay till after Thanksgiving. Dad and I will take one of the two remaining weeks to visit Al and Debbie in FA. We are willing to rent a car and drive to FA. No big deal, we had to see anybody traveling all these miles just to transport us. It doesn't matter to us where we spend Thanksgiving. Whatever works out best for all of you. Both Jim and Al know about our plans and thoughts. So, hope that everybody will be happy.
You can stay with us for as long or short as you like.
I'm not clear on the Thanksgiving thing - You say at one point you will stay till AFTER Thanksgiving - making me think you will be here (in GA) - then, you say you want to go to FL for a week - but I remember you told me you might fly back to MQT from FL... That seems to me like the best plan - why drive all the way back to GA from FL? Just spend TDay w/Al and Deb in FL and fly back home from there?
OR - you could even FLY from ATL to TPA one way - there are usually great deals on those short flights.
Just giving you a couple more ideas since it didn't seem as if you had things set yet. Either way you decide is fine w/me - I just hate to see you drive so much. Around MQT is one thing, across the country and in Metro areas is another and frankly it scares me a little to think about you driving to FL and back. I will offer to pay for your plane fare if you will agree not to drive.
And to be perfectly honest about TDay, I plan on taking the entire week off and spending most of it at the hunting camp w/Marcus. If a trip to FL is in the works, that could be arranged - like lv GA on WED, spend WED/THR night in FL (probably in a hotel) and drive back FRI - if dinner is early on THR, we may even lv late THR and drive back that night. If Jim, Pam and Analise want to all have TDay in FL, that works for me. If they want to carpool with us, I'm sure we could work something out and we can all ride in 1 vehicle.
How's that for a few options... I guess the BLOG thing isn't working out too well...
